01 / The Problem
CityMed was a trusted Vancouver clinic with a site that loaded in 8 seconds and buried the booking button on page two. Every week of bad UX cost them appointments — roughly 40 missed bookings that never made it past the homepage.
02 / The Solution
The three decisions that moved the needle.
Nothing exotic. Just the hard calls most clinics avoid because their site is already live.
- 01
Moved booking above the fold
The primary CTA became the first thing a visitor saw, on both desktop and mobile. Every other link got pushed a notch lower.
- 02
Collapsed 14 nav items into 5
Book, Services, Doctors, Locations, Contact. Everything else moved to the footer or a deeper page. Decision fatigue dropped immediately.
- 03
Rebuilt the booking form from scratch
Six fields became three. Required fields only. Submit button says Book my appointment, not Submit.
- 04
Cut page weight by 78%
Removed three stock plugins. Compressed every image. Replaced the hero video with a static render. LCP fell from 8.1s to 1.6s.
03 / The Impact
The result: 47% more bookings in six weeks.
